Chapter Eighteen
Sasha
Noah was picking me up for lunch. I only had an hour. Although my boss, Helena, wouldâve given me extra time and never really monitored my hours, I had to be back for a meeting.
We were standing on the sidewalk.
âAre you hungry?â His eyes held mine, and the look contained there sent my belly into a big swoop.
I didnât even reply. He turned, reaching for my hand and walking briskly to where his car was parked.
âWhere are we going?â I asked as he was pulling away from the curb.
âMy place.â His tone was almost brusque.
âAre you going to feed me?â
He stopped at a stoplight. When he looked my way, I felt fiery liquid need spin through my veins. This man knew how to give a look. I was hot all over and had to squeeze my thighs together to quell the throb at my core.
âI had something else in mind.â
A bubbly sense of joy rose inside, and I laughed as he gunned it when the light turned green. The mix of joy with desire was almost intoxicating.
He reached across the console, his palm landing on my thigh, his touch warm and sure.
âI missed you,â he said gruffly.
âItâs only been two days,â I whispered.
âTwo days since I saw you. Itâs actually been eleven days since we were alone.â
I opened my mouth to correct him and then gasped when his hand eased between my thighs. I was wearing a pair of dress slacks.
âI hope you missed me too,â he said, his low and gravelly voice sending sparks scattering through me.
I was barely paying attention until he turned down a street only minutes away from where I lived with Quinn. âOh,â I murmured. âYou said you were near us.â
Noah didnât reply, taking a quick turn onto another street and then pulling into the driveway of an updated, charming colonial home. It was one of those old homes divided into a duplex. With Noahâs hand curled around mine, he led me down a walkway to one side. Snow blanketed the area just beyond the path. I took in details as he let me in through the doorâdark wood, sunshine spilling through the tall windows, quiet.
Then his mouth was on mine, and our tongues were tangling as we tumbled into a hot, breath-stealing kiss.
He spun me around until I felt the cool wood of the door seeping through my jacket and blouse. Need was pouring through me, and I was frantic to get closer.
âNoahââ I gasped, my head thumping against the door as his lips blazed a hot trail down the side of my neck.
âYes, love?â he murmured just before nipping my earlobe and sending shivers chasing over my skin.
I didnât know what I wanted, not specifically. I just needed him buried inside me. I craved relief from the need racing through me.
Somehow, I got his pants unbuttoned, letting out a moan when I felt the hot skin of his cock under my touch. Meanwhile, he deftly opened my blouse, and a ragged sigh slipped out when his warm palm cupped a breast.
